Brendan Flynn - Group Managing Director
Brendan joined Pipeflow Westwood Ltd, the forerunner to Profast Ltd in April 1978. Married to Helen, with two daughters, two sons, five grandchildren and a dog, 2018 marks the start of a phased withdrawal from the business after 40 years of service. Brendan will focus more on the development of the Group for the next three years before retiring fully from the business. Brendan’s immediate plan is to see if he can emulate a successful business career with success on the golf course but there are many doubters that this will happen, including Brendan.
Philip Gregg - Managing Director
Philip joined the Company in August 1989 as a Sales Representative responsible for developing the Window and Door hardware division. He quickly progressed to Sales Manager then Sales Director.
In 2006 he was promoted to Managing Director for the Northern Ireland operation.
His Management strategy of building strong teams and developing people, by giving authority and responsibility in an inclusive manner, has been central to the companies’ growth patterns and loyalty displayed by colleagues.
He is married to Barbara with 3 grown up children and one grandchild.
He is passionate about Rugby and he has Senior Roles with Ulster and Ballynahinch. He is a keen summer golfer.
Trish McLoone - General Manager
Trish started with the company in 1999. Her role has progressed over the years and she has experience in all aspects of the business, particularly in Accounts and Finance. She has a 2:1 BA Hons degree and is IATI qualified. She became General Manager in 2013 and is responsible for the day to day running of the company. Her dedication to the role and her professional working relationship with staff ensures that customer satisfaction is maintained to an exceptional standard. She enjoys mountain walking, is married to Aidan and has three children.
Colin Ross - Group Purchasing Manager
Colin joined Profast in March 2018 as the Group Purchasing Manager. Colin brings over thirty years experience of purchasing within an engineering and manufacturing environment and on a global scale. He is focused on end to end material solutions for the company and managing strategic cost- effective opportunities that will strengthen Profast and its customers’ market advantage. Colin is also a keen photographer and produces the Profast calendar which is distributed to our customers annually.
Stephen Clarke - National Sales Manager
Stephen is a technical & business driven professional, having extensive experience in Ireland, Europe, United States and the Middle East developing and managing the business growth of several SME's.
Currently covering the Region of Ireland with the professional focus of sharing technical and innovative solutions of fasteners & fixings via CPD Seminar’s to many Project Managers, Structural Engineers, Consultants, Quantity Surveyors & Senior Management in the Construction, Energy, Timber & Engineering World.
Jonny Meekin - Area Sales Manager
Jonny started Profast in March 2010. He studied Mechanical Engineering at UUJ and has over 25 years sales experience in the engineering, construction and manufacturing industries in Ireland.
Outside of work he has been an on-call Firefighter with NIFRS for 16 years providing emergency cover at evenings and weekends. He has keen interests in rugby, clay pigeon shooting and cycling now that his rugby career has ended.
Ken Groves - Business Development Manager
Ken is in his second employment with Profast. Having left the company in 2010 after 9 years’ service, he returned in 2017 to take up a new role. He is closely involved in the supply of Huck products and of broadening supply to the manufacturing sector. Ken is married to Sharon and has two daughters. When not talking nuts and bolts he enjoys involvement in his church and sailing.
Andrew Neill - Customer Services Representative
Andrew joined Profast in 2015 and has been in the fasteners and tool business for 15 years. When the fasteners division moved back to Belfast, Andrew joined to look after the customer service and purchasing for Profast NI Ltd. Andrew has been a key person in supporting the growth of Profast as Northern Ireland’s leading fixing and fastening company. Andrew is married to his wife Leigh and has 3 children, Bailey, Katie and Charley.
John Carswell - Customer Services Representative
John has been with Profast since January 2017, after 18 years at KES Agencies, who were bought over, resulting in his move to Belfast. He has worked mainly with screening plant OEMs such as Terex, specialising in Huck Bolts and other unusual fasteners. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his four grandsons, and going for walks with his wife and dog.
Damian O’Neill - Warehouse Manager
Damian started with Profast in February 2019 as Warehouse Manager. He is responsible for all warehouse operations including the receipt, storage and despatch of goods as well as coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel procedures. He is a keen hillwalker and also plays and coaches badminton.
Joanne Macartney - Group Chief Financial Officer
Joanne joined Profast Group in March 2019 and is responsible for developing financial and operational strategies within the Group as well as managing day to day finance related activities. Joanne is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and brings over 20 years of experience from working within various sectors which more latterly included 8 years in Facilities, Fit Out and Construction.
Joanne is married with a young son and enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors.
Edel Pauley - Accounts Manager
Edel joined Profast in February 2019. She was the Managing Director of her own Accounts and Payroll business since 1996 and employed 20 staff. Her skills and experience in the finance department are a great asset to Profast. Her expertise in Management Accounts, Payroll, Human Resources have been invaluable in helping Profast progress and expand.
Edel loves walking, music and reading and tries to do all three even on holidays. She is married to Michael with 1 daughter, 2 sons and 7 grandchildren, so life is never quiet.
Sabrina Boyle - Credit Controller
Sabrina started with Profast in July 2017 taking on the extremely busy role of credit control, looking after 3 ledgers – Profast Ltd, Dublin Profast NI Ltd, Belfast and Fortus Hardware, Belfast. She has a keen interest in horses and horseracing, having had previous successes in breeding, owning & training horses.
Arleeta Bishop - Credit Controller
Arleeta joined the Credit Control department of in January 2019, as part time Credit Controller, bringing extensive experience in Credit Management within both Home and International Markets. Working part time has given Arleeta the scope to support the team at Profast and the team of six grandchildren that she encourages in her love of hiking.
Andrea McConnell - Purchasing & General Administrator
Andrea started with Profast 1998 and works in the purchasing department. She is also responsible for providing Test Certificates and assisting Customer Services.
She enjoys going to the gym and cycling in her spare time.
Elaine Smith - Purchase Ledger Clerk
Elaine Smith joined the company July 1983. She works in the purchasing department and is a key person in ensuring the accuracy and processing of supplier invoices. She enjoys working in a team and has recently become a grandmother.
Linda Murray - Receptionist
Linda started in Profast as receptionist in September 2017. She is the first point of contact both on the phone and in person to meet and greet you.
